ALL I HOPED FOR

Have used my waffle maker twice since receiving and I am so glad to now have it. Don't know why I waited so long! Simple to use and easier to clean than I expected. Will get lots of use and appreciated the fact the manual includes a few recipes.

It looks like your parents' wedding gift BUT...

It's great. It has been working great so far and I like the Belgium look, the big square and it comes out clean. It's not too long of a wait. Even though the instruction says it takes more than 7 minutes if we make our own batter and not store bought... but I think that's if you really really want your waffles crispy.

Does what it's supposed to do!

I have wanted a Belgian waffle maker for some time, but really didn't want to spend a lot of money on one since I am retired and living on a fixed retirement income. I ordered this one from Walmart.com based upon the reviews. As so many of the reviews have already stated, this fairly inexpensive Belgian waffle maker makes perfect Belgian waffles. After experimenting with the cooking times, I found that 6.5 to 7 minutes makes what I consider to be perfect waffles. I like a little crunch on the outside, and I found that anything less than 6 minutes doesn't really give me the desired crunch. My suggestion would be that you also experiment with the cook time since electrical receptacle voltages can vary as much as 10 VAC from one location to another in the US, and that can affect the heat output of the unit, even if only slightly. So far, I have only made plain waffles using Krusteaz waffle mix, but I plan on making some pecan waffles as soon as I can buy some chopped pecans. I can't wait to try them!
