The ThinkPad UltraSlim DVD Burner is what it says - ultra slim. It's lightweight and portable but doesn't feel flimsy. It doesn't need its own power source. Included is PowerDVD software but installation is restricted to Lenovo devices. I bought the device to use with a Microsoft SurfacePro 7. My Lenovo desktop has a built in DVD drive. I didn't need the software anyway as I have Nero software installed. I haven't used the device to burn DVDs and am not likely to so I can't comment on that aspect. As far as playing movies or music is concerned the device is excellent. It is the quietest running device of its kind that I have ever owned. I recommend it.

Efficient and stylish. The Lenovo USB DVD is indeed slim as what the tin says. It comes with stylish and durable feel of the hardware. The colour of the device complements everything. However, application of the disc should be handle with care, another tip to the future user due to the hardware design.
