advice for soft tubing

Reading through the reviews I see many questions about bending aluminum and kinking issues. The trick to bending soft materials with any bender is to cap one end of the tube, fill it with sand, then cap the final end. The sand will go around the bend and support the tube from the inside.

very well constructed

The leverage action makes it very to bend 1.5 inch .100 wall tubing A little tricky getting tubing out of the die. but a heavy duty C-clamp solved the problem.

Nice Unit

I need to fight the pin out of the saddle to get the bent tube out, but I figured out a technique to make it work. Probably just that I am using it at its limit on 2" x .120-wall tube.
