Love It! Thank you for water-based product :)

Here it is March 2026 and humidity below 60, temp under 70 so I decided to apply the Cabo Clear Wood Protector. Last application was Fall 2024. Purchased the Cabot pad applicator this year, which is incredible - save time, edging was super accurate - I highly recommend it. After test coating a small area, I was happy the way the "clear" slightly enhanced the color of my wood. It didn't change the color, just brought out the beauty of the wood. My deck is 15'x20', completed project in 1 hour. And thank you Cabot for providing a water-based product - which is the reason I am using this product. Can't wait to stain again. Oh, and the people that complain about it creating a slick surface, yes that may be true but put shoes on, the product is doing what it should by creating a barrier to preserve the wood UFDA!

Just as expected,

We installed a roughsawn cedar fence. We wanted to seal it before the cedar greyed from being in the sun. This product did darken the wood as I would expect as all protectors do this. If it were clear, it would not have the uv protection properties. Easy to apply, and dries quickly. Several weeks have past and cedar still has red tone to it. Very nice. Now to see how long it will last. When should I recoat?

Very Happy

Wow, I just got this sealer from my local Ace Hardware and I couldnt be any Happier. I have an old Cedar Picnic Table I made nearly 10 years ago. I let gray naturally for the first few years and I liked how it was doing , but My Son thought it needed "sprucing up" so he applied a exterior stain product to it, and, well, with out preparing it First, it really re-acted to the wood surface after the first year and it looked Horrible Splintered it terribly. this year I Pressure Washed it, let it dry and then sanded it, Applied Cabot Clear Wood Protector, after being told that it would look like melted butter and has a yellowing effect, Which I was Hoping for, On Cedar it has a Natural Yellow Hew and It Enhanced it So Well I could Not be Any Happier with its Results.. It Looks a Nice Golden Color, Warm an Inviting.
