Loving this wine press.

Very well made unit. Sturdy and it looks nice too. It does take some time to put together with all those wood pieces needing two screws each to be used for attaching to the metal bands, but with a battery operated drill and screw driver bit (phillips), I was able to get everything mounted in a little over an hour's time. I do suggest going to a hardware store and buying two metal washers that when stacked together equals the height of the factory plastic washer. I've read where people didn't do that ahead of time, and then used this unit to press grapes. They squashed their plastic factory washer and still had to go get new metal washers. Other than that, I'm really happy with my unit. It came with extra stacking boards for the pressing operation, whereas other sites made you buy extra wood and make your own stacking boards. All of my wood was very well sanded - no splinters at all. I can't wait to pick my own grapes from my vines and press the juice to make wine with. In the meantime, I plan on buying seedless grapes and pressing some juice for making wine so I can practice.

Should say have to be crushed to work, leaked out of the bottom by one of the welds just small drops. Overall worked great. The 2 holes wasn't drilled on the piece of wood for the top plate.
