Darice Wood Hoop 4'-

I purchased these hoops for framing small cross stitch pieces. I previously used bamboo hoops, which are nearly white and don't take wood stain well; I wanted something a little darker in color. These hoops are made from 1/8 inch wood laminate formed into a tube and then cut into rings. The cut edges are rough and there were voids in the glue used to laminate the sheets of wood. I sanded the edges so they wouldn't snag my fabric and used satin braid around the framed piece to cover the voids in the cut edge of the laminate. I wouldn't buy these again. They're quite flimsy and more expensive than the bamboo hoops.
