The heat set polypropylene pile is a plush 0.4" that is soft, stain resistant, and doesn't shed or fade over time. These runners are great for my upstairs hallways. I'm a little disappointed at how long it's taking for them to lay flat though and thought they'd be a bit thicker like the last rugs I ordered. Even so, I'm happy with the design and speed of shipping!
