My great-grandson cannot play outdoors until the thermometer reads 40. His grandmother shows him the temperature on her cell phone but that doesn't mean anything to him. The thermometer I purchased has large numbers and is colorful. Just the visual he needed. It is hanging on a post on the porch, in the shade, directly across from the front door where he can easily read it. He was quite pleased, bouncing up and down, as his daddy hung it up. It appears to be sturdy and should last as it is weather protected.
