Eclipse Emina Grommet Crushed Sheer Voile Rod Grommet, Single Curtain Panel, 50"x63", Ivory

These are great shears. They have enough color to them so that when they are hanging up you can actually tell they are a color, rather than not even see they are there, however not so much color that they lose their sheerness if that makes sense. I like that they are a dark smoky gray, they definitely fit perfect into my dining room color scheme.

Last summer we added a sunroom to our house and hung black day and night blinds. Basically, during the day we can see out and no one can see in, but at night, we can't see out but everyone can see it. The same shades used by restaurants. We've since discovered that during the day, the sun shines into our eyes making it not only difficult and annoying to see each other, it also disturbs viewing the TV. In comes the sheers! I wanted something that would look casual, attractive but most importantly would block the glare during daylight. I ordered the rod pocket so I could use curtain rings with clips to allow the sheers to be effortlessly pulled opened and closed. At the minimum, my sheers would be opened and closed multiple times weekly. With high usage, the increased likelihood of snagging on items within its vicinity, and not knowing how flimsy the material may be, I selected the crushed voile (close up photo attached). I suspect this type of fabric would be more likely to conceal any damage that may occur to the material. The sheers are so pretty and look delicate, but the material is remarkably quite sturdy. I washed the sheers in the washing machine (hung dry) and there is absolutely no damage to the material. I tacked up the sheers and this is how they worked in my sunroom. As they are sheer, the panels do allow light to come in and surprising does provide privacy. I stood inside my sunroom, right by the window and had my spouse take a picture of the sheers from the outside with our day and night blinds up. It maybe the angle of our yard and the sunroom or perhaps the time of day, but you cannot see my shape at all (photo attached). I still suspect that the sheers may not provide complete privacy at night when lights are on inside. If you like a soft, breezy look but with increased privacy, the material is thin enough to combine multiple panels on a curtain rod. For complete privacy, you most likely will need to place curtains as a second layer. Unfortunately for me, the sheers did not block the glare of the sunlight in my sunroom. However, if you enjoy the natural light and are seeking a charming window treatment at an affordable price, Eclipse sheers maybe the solution!
