I ordered these chains for a 50" zero turn mower and my only regret is that I didn't order them a long time ago. They've turned my mower into an absolute beast! Before the mower struggled with the slightest amount of incline and now it's as if it's glued to it. It's made a ditch that I used to have to cut with a push mower into one that I can cut completely without getting off of the mower. As far as tearing up the yard, it does it less than without the chains because normally the tires would spin do to not enough traction. Now. that's not a problem, except when doing a 360° turn. As long as both tires are moving there is no damage. I'm still able to go in between trees etc and make tight turns without causing damage. Just make sure to use a rubber bungee cord to make the chains as tight as possible so they don't slip on the tires. While they were delivered a few days later than promised I was kept informed and they arrived in good condition. For $48 delivered, I am very glad I made this purchase. I also have chains on a 54" lawn tractor and it was not able to cut the ditch previously mentioned because it's too top heavy and wasn't safe. I do have to make sure that the armrest are up so I can slide in the opposite direction of the hill. The tires don't need to be removed for installation, just spread out behind the tire and back up.
