This boot has all the properties of a zero pressure heel off loading boot with the addition of an adjustable, angled back (with adjustable strap) and a detachable foot tread for ambulation off the bed. The adjustable back accommodates residents with foot drop. Suspends heel over air captivity to eliminate pressure. The gel insert cools the ankle and redistributes the pressure. Cozy cloth liner reduces friction and wicks away moisture. Permits resident to stand, pivot, and transfer. Wipe-clean outer cover. Can be laundered after removal of gel pack and plastic insert. Removable plastic insert for enhanced foot drop control and to keep the sheets and blankets off the toes.
