perfect item for an imaginative thinker to sleep in sturdy and not too high to worry about falling out since the bottom bump is so close to the floor

I'll preface this by saying i absolutely LOVE how the completed beds look! its cute and i love the height. these are the main positives. that being said,. its an absolute nightmare to put together. not just because theres like 5,000 bolts, no, but rather because some of the bolts do not fit! We had to shimmy and rock and use all the man-muscle my boyfriend could muster just to force some of the bolts to go into the holes they're supposed to easily screw into. took almost an entire day to put it together because of that. On to the finished product: it isn't the most sturdy bunk beds I've ever encountered, that's for sure. kinda slightly rickety after put together, but not so much so that it would be a safety's hazard, no. (yes, all bolts were thoroughly tightened so it wasn't user error) however, the way the stairs to the top bunk do NOT touch the floor without a rug shoved under it is kind of a hazard. i feared my kids would get a toe caught under it when the other is trying to climb up, and would lose a toe! but, putting a rug under the feet of the stairs fixes that problem. perhaps it was made with the intention of people having carpeted flooring, idk. but i have wood flooring so. all in all, the only reason it gets 4 stars is because my kids are obscenely happy that it's shaped like a house lol it is super cute, cant deny that!
