Polk, John Tyler, Martin Van Buren, John Quincy Adams, James Madison, and John Adams. At the top of the banner, flanking Washington, John Adams (left), and Jefferson (right) are American and presidential flags. At the bottom of the banner, inscribed on a ribbon are the words "The Presidents of the United States." An almost identical banner was produced by Currier for Democratic candidate Lewis Cass (no. 1848-4).
