Classic - definitely, but not timeless.

It's a classic, really. His voice was amazing, his songwriting, the band with him. He didn't fit a specific genre, sort of like 70's Elvis, Barbara Streisand, perhaps. I could even hear the influence of Elvis in his performance. But this is indeed an outdated style of music, and that's okay! I bought it knowing that! And for a live recording, it's done well.
