THE glove part is leather and very flexible I used my clippers with easy and NO STICKING or Pricking my hand. THE pink leather long sleeves are perfect also ....they come up to my elbow and complete protection is what you NEED. Yes fingers are able to move. NOT so stiff you can not bend or move you hand freely.

Wish I knew these existed years ago! They fit perfectly. They are made of high quality material. I personally do not grab onto thorny trees and plants with a tight grip. So I couldn't tell you the level of protection from finger pricks. So far my arms have been saved from removing knock out roses and wild berry bush removal.

These gloves are exactly what I needed and definitely will protect you from any kind of nasty stuff you may get into while weeding. I had recently got sime bad poison ivy even on my hands while wearing gloves so I threw those away and got these which I've been protected since including the space between your wrist and sleeve that most regular sized gloves don't cover up. Don't do any serious weeding without these gloves!!!
