Works great but has a bright red light

I bought it to work with an old homemedics sound machine and light protector. It worked perfectly. Only con is that there is a red light indicator on the plug, so when you plug it in, the light shines. It's bright enough to notice in the dark so you have to cover the light with black electrical tape or unplug the cord after use if you like a dark room when sleeping
