Since 1990, Bill's Hot Rod Co. has had one goal in mind; to design alternator, air conditioner and power steering brackets that fit and are easy to use, as well as affordable and stylish. This 1100 Series side-mount accessory drive is a solution to the challenges encountered when swapping a GM LS engine into a muscle car, pickup truck, or street rod. Factory accessories on most GM LS engines are mounted low and tight to the engine, making it difficult to swap into older vehicle frames with large crossmembers and steering boxes. These 1100 Series front drive bracket kits relocate the alternator, power steering pump and A/C compressor to a higher, outside position on the engine but well below the hood line of most vehicles. The layout of this bracket is similar to the Corvette design. This A/C compressor bracket kit is designed to mount aftermarket Sanden SD-508 compressors onto Gen III/IV GM LS engines (non-supercharged). It works with LS1/LS2/LS6 wide pulley water pump (GM 19256263) and GM truck water pump (GM 19207665). This kit is intended for use with brackets 91668041. Brackets come completely assembled with all stainless steel bolts and washers, illustrated instruction sheet, and belt size recommendations. Bracket fits both Gen III/IV LS series cylinder heads. Repositions A/C compressor away from frame rail. Utilizes commonly available and affordable Sanden 508 compressors. Ideal for crate engines or take-out junkyard motors. Brackets come completely assembled with stainless hardware. Bolts on - no drilling or tapping necessary. Made from mild steel plate for strength and durability.
