So healthy!

I could relate to the author's desire to turn to a healthier diet after dealing with physical issues. I have really revamped my whole perspective on food and all of my food choices and I am very interested in how others have handled this as well. I also appreciated that it is filled with food that was exciting and motivating for me to try, as sometimes eating healthy can be a bit boring. The recipes range from lightened up classics (New York City Jewish Style Chicken Soup) to kicked up healthy recipes (Everything Good Granola). Those are two of my favorites from the book, but I've tried several and all of them are rich with taste and nutrients and leave me feeling satisfied without any negative side effects. I enjoyed the author's personal notes throughout, like how you can “reset” your taste buds by staying away from refined flours and sugars. That switch enables you to truly taste things as they are without the “dulled” sense that comes from overpowering your system with refined products. I feel like this book has really helped me to see better the beauty (gorgeous photos!) and nourishing qualities of good-for-you food and I'm excited to incorporate more of these recipes into my daily meals.
