This is a fantastic splitter. I see some reviews that say it doesn't last long, but it isn't going to stay sharp long, & you'll want to have a clean one more often. If you don't moose it down, it should last you for about a year. You really would want to change the blade out at that time, anyhow. This pill splitter works fine. Actually better than some other ones. You can get bigger pills in here, as well as thicker ones. You don't have to slam it down, just press the two pieces together. It simple & easy to use. It lines up the pills pretty easily each & every time. I get more even splits than with other splitter. That could be because the blade is a little thicker, or that the base is shaped to allow a better fit, or both. I'm going with both.
