Beautiful poetry book

"I want to walk with him, side by side, And let our laughter coincide" The book is a compilation of poetries and some short stories in between. The phrases came honestly from the heart of Rennetta. It is a 100 pages short book but I must say it wraps completely every element of life. It talks about mother, father, sister, brother, mother-in-law (It was beautiful), society, it's hypocrisy, the problems we have in our systems, high school, crush, love, all the boys that came and went and so much further. Rennetta has written every word so honestly and crystal bright that it becomes all the more touchy to flip through her feelings. It is honestly a book written by a girl about her emotions because girls precisely have impressions about everything going around them and about every person that came and went in their life. I liked the way she has written a solely explicative poem about prison and the life over there. I was so touched when she wrote "Leadership is not supposed to be a highly paid position, We need leaders with empathy and compassion" It was the one I liked the most and was also pained at the same time. The verses are composed in a very modest and candid way and I would end my review of it with some lines that I felt so related to. Strands from the poem "Safe thoughts" "Every time I see, I glimpse I hear An aircraft taking off and landing Beyond the clouds, I wish it was me"
