La Crosse Technology Digital Atomic Wall/Table Clock with Temperature, 513-1918S-INT

I love LaCrosse satellite clocks. Wonderfully reliable and so convenient for DST changes. I have some on the wall and one on à shelf. Definitely recommend.

We were replacing two similar units for which the remote had quit. The remote was no longer made, and this clock was the closest to the outdoor temperature clocks we already had. We were looking for a clock with atomic, accurate time, but most of all to show the temperature outdoors. Lacrosse Technologies produces many such clocks, but most have all kinds of color in the interface, and I didn't want a circus in my family room and kitchen, where this clock hangs. This clock was the most subtle and did what we were looking for. What I would change: Our previous clocks were mostly black, with silver highlights. This is the opposite. Our kitchen has black appliances, so that is the reason. If you happen to be putting this up in your kitchen, and you have stainless steel, this clock is perfect. The second thing I would change is to make the temperature figures larger. The temperature figures on this clock are smaller than that on our previous clocks. I cannot see the figures from across the room. That said, I am pleased with this clock and think it is the best one, at the best price, that Lacrosse Technologies offers. If I were to buy a second outdoor temperature clock, I would buy this one again.
