Great Collection on DVD-R

This is an excellent two-disc collection of 21 shorts tailor-made for those interested in this period of Hollywood history, or in Shemp Howard (of "Three Stooges" fame) in particular. I have purchased all of these Vitaphone collections and view them as a special time capsule from a different era. I feel fortunate to live in an age where these sorts of limited-run theatrical shorts are being repackaged for home viewing. The discs are DVD-R (manufactured on demand) so they may not be as resilient as a standard DVD. There are economic reasons for this, and the picture/sound quality is the same, but it would obviously be my preference to get a DVD that might be better able to tolerate a few scuffs or scratches. Otherwise the packaging and presentation is exactly what I would hope for.
