Finally found it!

Saw JLS in the theater when it came out in 1971 - impressive for the time. Over the decades the book has come up in conversations %26 I'd ask “Did you ever see the movie?” The response was “There's a movie?!” Yes there is %26 each time I'd look for a copy to no avail. It came up again %26 lo %26 behold, I now have it !

excellent movie

Has been my favorite movie for 30yrs. It has alot of analagies about life and what is important. It's uplifting, inspirational and thought provoking. But you must be able to listen to the words/narration of the movie to get the most out of it.

Fantastic music and photography, with unique story

I love this move, and the book too. However, there is one sentence in both that cause an interruption in the beauty and strength of Johnathan's striving for higher and faster flight. Sadly, the author put in "You don't have to have faith." into the book and therefore the movie. If the author doesn't believe in God, how about Johnathan believing in himself? Of course, the music is superb, in that it is played and sung by Neil Diamond. The photography is stupendous...I would love to know how some of it was done. I gave four versus five stars because of that one sentence, only, which is a real downer.
