Real wood, decent directions, needs finish.

1. Make sure you have a good size area to lay everything out to assemble. 2. Have a screw gun, screwdrivers, hand tools and if possible large a wood clamp. 3.I highly recommend predrilling the connected pieces, there are guide holes to follow. 4. Use wood glue to give everything extra strength, have a wet rag to clean excess glue. This unit takes a couple hours to put together and it is decent material but watch out for knots in screw locations I did have one split because of a knot.
