great desk. looks fantastic, Needs 2 people

The office desk looks great, i love actually however the assembly was difficult. Not the instructions but the actual building off the desk. The weight was 133lb so i recommend that the manufacturer suggests that its a two person build on the website. I managed to complete myself but it was difficult.

Good desk. Project to assemble.

I have had the desk put together for over a week now. This desk when put together is quite nice. It's large, sturdy, and has a nice modern look to it. I put it together by myself except for a little bit of help putting the shelves on the right-hand side of the piece and the final attaching of the two sides. It took me the better part of 6 hours to put it together, so be aware of the long build time. There are not extra pieces of hardware either, so make sure you're keeping track of each piece and what numbered bag it is from. The directions are straight forward enough, the only time I was really frustrated with them was the part where you attach the magnetic strip for the cabinet door. The directions are not very clear and the holes did not line up but the particle board is easy enough to drill into wherever you need to, even by hand. I'd like to see how well the desk holds up after a few years, it is a good value for how large and heavy it is but I wonder how long it will last. I bought the protection plan just in case it starts to fall apart in the future. I will try to remember to update this review after I've had the desk for more than a year.

4-5 hours to put together - well worth it

Right off the bat like everyone else has said; this thing is a bit of a beast to put together. Won't lie and say I put it together myself, my Dad did the large majority of the building (thanks, Dad!) but I sat with him for the duration and he didn't have much trouble. A few pieces put on backwards or opposite and quickly corrected, but besides that, it's just a tedious process. That being said, I sincerely don't think I could love this desk any more than I do. The coloring is perfect, the shelves on the right side of the desk are exactly what I was looking for; top to bottom, I love it, which is why it's definitely a five-star rating for me. I can fit two of my larger laptops on the left side, and my MacBook Air on the right under the shelving. I'm 6'0" and fit just fine while sitting. Granted I have a pretty small chair, and when it's as low as it can go, I have about 1 1/2 inches of space from the top of my legs to the bottom of the desk. So if you're taller or have a large chair, maybe something to consider, but it's been working fine for me. The drawers are a nice addition, that middle drawer works great, but the one on the far left has a rough track in comparison and takes more push/pull. Also the cabinet on the bottom right is magnetic and makes a type of metallic noise when opening, but it has a ton of space and I can fit a lot of stuff in there. Even though I wanted to mention that little stuff, I can't say any of it really bothers me at all. I'll also be moving in the near future as well, and I wanted something that hopefully wouldn't be too much of a pain to move, and it looks like I'll be able to separate this desk into two pieces for when that happens. Seriously cannot say enough good things about this desk within the week Ive had it. Well worth the $300 I spent on it. Excited to have this one for a long time!
