the do it all machine

While my 20+ y/o Kenmore was approaching it's end, I wasted money on a Brother and a Singer, now I've been using my Janome HD-3000 for 6 months and am just as happy with it as I was with my Kenmore 385. Currently with my HD-3000, I've made 2 sets of patio furniture cushions, 3 pair of lounge pants, a swim suit, a set of 10' tall drapes (w/ black out lining) and working on my 2nd pair of spandex tights. This machine has kept up with my projects and I expect to not have to replace it. I'm 6 months in and have no need to look for anything else, thank you Janome.

Excellent, strong machine

I am in love with my new Janome HD 3000. So nice to have a needle threader, and this baby can sew it all. Very easy to wind bobbins without unthreading your needle also with the included sevond spool holder. Kens Sewing Center in AL got to to me in NY 2 days as promised despite the pandemic too!

Surprised!

For three hundred and fifty dollars I figured I'd get exactly what I needed and wanted in the way of a sewing machine. I was surprised to find that my four dollar, yard sale "Dial-A-Stitch" was not only faster, but could sew through more layers than the "Heavy Duty" Janome. The Janome was easy to set up and real pretty setting on my table, but I could tell by the labored sound on the first sew-through that my old machine was heavier duty than the new one. Sew, here's what I did. I returned the $350 machine to Wally and picked out a $140 Singer "Heavy Duty." Apparently, my idea of heavy duty is far different from the folks who manufacture the two aforementioned machines. I'm back using my Dial-A-Stitch. Nuf said.
