Hanes Beefy-T Adult Pocket T-Shirt - Style# 5190

I've been buying Hanes Beefy T-shirts for years. They're well-made and available in a fairly good number of colors. I am a T-shirt guy when it comes to outer wear. And I prefer a looser fit, so I buy one size larger. Any T-shirt can develop an odor over time. To combat that, I wash my T-shirts, with the regular amount of detergent and fabric softener, but I fill my washer's bleach dispenser with White Vinegar. Also, twice a year after washing them I give them a second wash using only White Vinegar, and a lot of it, like 3/4 of a gallon in my big front load washer. It's best to skip the fabric softener in the preceding wash, but you can add it to the vinegar wash for the last rinse. As well, in a continued effort to combat odors, I store my T-shirts on an open-shelf, not in a closed-up drawer.

For over almost 2 decades, I have bought Beefy pocket Ts. For comparison this unisex BeefyT, non-pocket version feels lighter than one of my several year old BeefyTs pocket Ts. But it still is heavier than the standard Hanes Ts that i have. (I wear Ts all the time). It also has a very long annoying 1.5 inch collar tag. My pocket BeefyTs have printed lables. While i have the bully pulpit, the Hanes heather color Ts fade quickly. My pocket 2 heather Beefy Ts faded very visibly after only the second wearing. It's easy to tell the fade, before it's washed, by comparing the fading outside to the inside color. Both of these were worn 8 hour days in late spring sun so the shoulders were the worst. Come on Hanes!
