Upholstered headboards are really popular right now but most are over $200. When I saw this one, I knew it would be perfect for the room I wanted it in for half the price. I have to say I was right. It looks just like the picture and is modern, sleek and masculine. It is expensive looking and was one of the easiest things I've put together. It comes with wall mounting hardware and part of it includes these two pieces of wood with Velcro on them that you attach to the wall and then push onto the headboard to connect it with the Velcro pieces that are already there and it keeps the headboard very secure against the wall. It also has nails and wall studs (I didn't feel the need to use the studs; it's not that heavy). I can't be sure, but I do believe basic nails and a hammer could hold this headboard up so it may be worth trying even if you don't own a drill. It's padded well and the color is as pictured. It makes a huge impact and really upgrades the room. With nice lighting and proper bedding the bed is really the center point of the room now.
