invaluable resource for Protestants

Long Before Luther: Tracing the Heart of the Gospel from Christ to the Reformation by Nathan Busenitz is a book that analyzes church history to show that the ideas of the reformation were not invented by the reformers like Martin Luther and John Calvin as many people have claimed. Rather that these ideas go back to the beginning, coming from the church fathers and the apostles themselves. The book consists of four parts and eleven chapters Part 1. The Reformers and Justification Part 2. The church before Augustine Part 3. Augustine and Justification Part 4. The church after Augustine This book is an invaluable resource for Protestants. Also, this book really helps the reader to see that the gospel was proclaimed before the reformation and argues that justification by faith alone is not an invention of the Reformers. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the history of Christian theology, or in the Reformation. *I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
