Frigidaire's FFTA1233Q2 12,000 BTU 230V Through-the-Wall Air Conditioner is perfect for cooling a room up to 550 square feet. This unit is designed for through-the-wall installation and is not designed for standard window installation. It will fit most existing wall sleeves and includes a standard universal interior trim kit. New wall sleeves are sold separately. This unit also requires a special 230V electrical outlet and will not operate with a standard 115V household electrical outlet. The ready-select electronic controls allow you to set the comfort level to your preference, while a convenient temperature-readout displays the set temperature. Effortless temperature sensing remote control allows you to see, set and maintain room temperature from across the room. The multi-speed fan features three different speeds for more cooling flexibility and the 4-way comfort control design allows you to easily control the direction of the cool air, wherever the unit is mounted.

AC unit works well, fan is a little noisy

Unit works well, received in excellent condition. Wal-Mart did a great job of getting the unit to me without damage and is good working order. Clerk helped me load it could not have been a smoother transaction.

Great shopping experience

The good experience began with a call from the truck driver asking me when I would like to have my new a/c delivered. Right away I was liking this. The gentleman was prompt and courteous-setting up the delivery time saved me from having to take time off from work. Always a plus. The a/c went in easy and my apartment has been blissfully cool ever since. It has a remote, is nice and quiet, and incredibly precise in cooling to a specific temp. The surround that comes with the installation kit is a great finishing touch. It seems they've thought of everything to give you a successful install. I like to do these things for myself and it was very easy-quick, too. You will enjoy it.

Great Air Conditioner

This is a great thru wall unit so far. I have used it twice, when it wasn't that hot out yet, seems good. Fits in the shorter 14 1/2 inch height wall sleeve that our landlord had in the wall of this old building. I didn't find any other brand that was shorter than 15 1/2 inch height for the thru wall air conditioner so I was glad to have found this one. It cools my apartment which is probably six hundred and some sq. ft. It comes with a grill to put in the back in place of the one on your sleeve, but I didn't do it and it's still okay. It works in our 220 volt wall plug. There is the same one for the 120 volt that is a different model number (FRA 124HR1). The price was way more than I wanted to pay for an air conditioner, but it does cool our entire apartment so far. We will only have a problem if it doesn't cool it when it's really hot out, but I haven't had the opportunity to test it yet on a really hot day.
