An excellent value!

This may be an entry level reel for Phlueger, but it has a high end feel. This is my first Phlueger reel. All my other reels have been from big name competitors ranging in cost equal to the Trion to slightly higher. None of them come close to the quality of this reel. I believe that any reel I buy from now on will be a Phlueger.

awesome and inexpensive reel

A relatively inexpensive reel with an expensive feel. The Trion is bullet proof, has worked as expected flawlessly day after day, fish after fish. The drag system is smooth, easily adjusted when fighting hard jumping smallmouth bass or tightening when reeling in smaller yellow perch. For all the big three species that Lake Erie has to offer anglers, this is a perfect reel for walleye, perch or smallies.
