Sun-Dried Tomatoes have long been used in Mediterranean areas; though they are relatively new to the United States gourmet market. Traditionally, sun-drying was one of the few safe ways to preserve produce. Suggested Use: Use in any recipe that calls for Tomatoes. Chopped Sun-Dried Tomatoes are great in breads and bagels or mixed into salads. Add to pizzas, pasta sauces or chile. Marinate and broil with garlic to make an easy and delicious appetizer. Ingredients: Sun dried tomato, salt. Basic Prep: Add Sun-Dried Tomatoes directly into recipe that requires cooking. For use in salads, blanch 30 seconds in boiling water to bring out flavor and soften texture.
