Induction Cooking

I cook almost exclusively using Cast Iron cookwares and was interested to see how an induction cook-top performed using them. So far, I am very impressed with the results. They are fast, efficient and what I like about them most is that there is very little radiated heat while cooking compared to standard gas or electric burners. The one downside of this unit is the inability to control the temperatures more accurately other than the selected steps provided. I would recommend this product readily. (and have).

induction cooktop

my stainless steel cookware was not magnetic which you must have to cause the unit to heat up, but the magnet that came with the cook top was helpful when i went to store to purchase a new 7" pot i made sure the magnet stuck to the bottom per instructions from enclosed pamphlet. I did not understand from website that cooking surface was alot smaller that the actual black area shown. (4" minimum pot and 7 1/2" maximum pot. A large fry pan will not work. But other than that i was able to heat a pot of water very quickly.

worst experience ever !!

it has been 3 months since i bought it, i live alone i dont do too much cooking,k since i had a hole set of cook wars that wasn't magnetic for this cook-top, i only used it few times to make Turkish coffee which is only need boiling water, and this cook-top take around 10 minutes at least to boil on cup of water that is forever, ;last night i got new cookware and i had my first awful experience with this cook-top, it went completely off after giving me E1 and E2 errors for using eligible cookware on it, and it wont turn on again . it is a total wast of money, and i thought this could be easier and safe cooking on it,turned to be the worst experience ever, even i paid a service plan for it, no i have no idea if i can return it and get my $70 back, or i totally lost my money after trusting this worthless cook-top !! .... i will never buy such a product again .
