Conjunto Primavera - Amor Amor - Music & Performance - CD

Though Conjunto Primavera are a prolific recording group -- they've released more than an album a year since they signed to Fonovisa in the middle of the 1990s -- their sound has remained remarkably consistent since their formation in the mid-'70s. They are the undisputed chihuahuense kings of norteￃﾃￂﾱo balladry. Amor Amor's first single is its title track (written by the great Josￃﾃￂﾩ Luis Ortega). Before release, it raced up Billboard's Regional Mexican Songs chart, landing in the Top Ten. Tony Melￃﾃￂﾩndez's mellifluous baritone relates this midtempo romantic ballad about heartbreak and longing; it is indicative of the album as a whole, but there are corridos, conjuntos, and rancheras as well.
