[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this over a month ago and I have been very satisfied with it ever since. It was easy to setup and did not sidetrack me with bloatware or any other setup specific to Lenovo. Going across a college campus on a daily basis in a variety of settings, this laptop has served me well. It also makes typing easy and feels great to use; I personally do not use the trackpoint but the keyboard and touchpad are great.
Pros:
Sturdy chassis, at least on the Aluminum option
Responsive, relatively bright touchscreen. Matte finish reduces issues with lighting/glare
Built in camera shutter
Decent selection of I/O including two USB type C ports, two USB type B ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Ethernet port.
Extremely quiet and stays cool, you would need to be in a completely silent room to notice the fan was spinning.
Extremely customizable through the website, was able to get close to all of my wants and requirements when purchasing a laptop
Includes SODIMM slots and option to add more storage, and extremely easy to take apart. Not many screws and they stay on the bottom cover when unscrewed.
Cons:
Top cover is a fingerprint magnet and smudges easily.
Charger feels a little cheap, and would be nice to have a plastic cable clip for better organization along with the included velcro strap.
Function keys sharing space with shortcut keys takes a little time to get used to, although the FnLock feature is very handy. Wish the laptop had a pause/play button in the shortcuts row.
