This item is well made and installing was pretty easy. I looked at a few wiring harnesses and researched a few things before purchasing. If you are not familiar with installing a wiring harness for trailers, I would recommend looking up some videos on Youtube. Just search youtube for: "How to install trailer wiring on (year/make/model of vehicle" and chances are, you'll find a few that show you the best ways to install on your specific vehicle. Of course, when I installed mine, it was not as easy as they made it look in the videos I watched, but it really wasn't very hard to do either. The videos saved me from having to figure a few things out on my own, especially since the instructions with a few harnesses were telling you to route the wiring through a space on my vehicle (from the compartment where the car jack is stored) and on mine, there was no way to do it as the instructions in some kits suggested. (I also looked up PDF instructions on a few wiring harnesses before deciding on this one) I believe this harness was the best choice I could have made for my vehicle.
