What's not to like?
Easy to put the wheels on and off; comes with a small hook wrench. THere's "plugs" to cover the wheel hole when you're not "wheelin' and dealin'" Not sure how reliable they are about staying in, haven't had the shoes very long and they haven't been used much. But he had them sufficiently mastered in 5 or 10 minutes, such that I don't make him wear a helmet (athletic teenager). They aren't nearly as dangerous as rollerblades, which my son also uses (with a helmet!). If you haven't used any type of roller skate before, learning curve may be steeper. They seem well built, and definitely fun, though I don't know really where you use them. The mall, where he NEVER goes? You can buy replacement wheels. Seemed true to size - my son wears a 9-9.5, bought a 10 and they're slightly big for growth he might still have. He still uses them without issue despite the bit of excess room. Nice bday gift.
