Sterling Seal Inc style #7157 medium density special blend of EPDM/SBR/Neoprene sponge rubber is a closed cell gasketing material used in many automotive, residential, commercial and industrial applications. Style 7157 is a DIY?er individuals dream come true. Rolls are shipped with a pressure sensitive adhesive backing, often referred to as peel and stick gaskets or adhesive backed gaskets. The adhesive backing is a key feature that can aid in assembly, saving time and money!!! This particular special blend of medium density closed cell sponge excels in outdoor applications, in both high temperature and low temperature applications. Strong, high quality rubber - made of a closed-cell foam rubber, this material is naturally non-absorbent and incredibly strong, making it more durable than many others on the market. Perfect for garage door seals, Windows, noise insulation, padding, dust seal for furniture, store fixtures, partitions, vapor barrier for prefab buildings, HVAC & refrigeration, and many automotive applications. Sterling Seal EPDM blend is also excellent in door seals for truck and bus bodies, offload equipment and transformer cabinets. Because it is soft and conformable prior to compression, style 7157Mds requires low stress to make a seal, making it ideal for fragile or lightly loaded assemblies requiring a seal.
