P-51B Mustang, 336th FS, 4th FG, Capt. Don Gentile (1:72)This 1/72 scale aircraft is a pre-assembled, "Platinum Collectible", North American P-51 B/C Mustang. Both the P-51B and P-51C versions started to arrive in England in August and October 1943. They were sent to 15 fighter groups that were part of the 8th and 9th Air Forces in England, and the 12th and 15th in Italy. A total of 1,988 P-51Bs were built, while a total of 1750 P-51Cs were built. Part of Easy Model's "WWII Aircraft Series", this pre-assembled model has fine panel lines, underwing weaponry, spinning rotor, cockpit detailaing, and an impressive display stand. This model is painted in colors and markings unique to the P-51 flown by Captain D. Gentile of the US 336th FS, 4th FG. Unlike diecast metal, finer detail can be molded in plastic, and this Easy Model "WWII Aircraft Series" aircraft is sure to be a valuable addition to any 1/72 scale collection or diorama.
