Gather tools: Get a socket set, screwdriver (flathead and Phillips), and a new TPS sensor.2. Locate the TPS: Find the TPS on the throttle body, connected to the air intake system.3. Disconnect the battery: Safety first, disconnect the car battery's negative terminal.4. Remove electrical connector: Unplug the connector from the TPS by pressing down on the tab or releasing the latch.5. Remove mounting bolts: Use a socket or screwdriver to remove the 2 or 3 bolts securing the TPS.6. Take out the old TPS: Gently pull the old TPS away from the throttle body.7. Install the new TPS: Align and secure it with the mounting bolts.8. Reconnect electrical connector: Plug the connector back into the new TPS securely.9. Reconnect the battery: Reattach the negative terminal of the car battery.10. Test the new TPS: Start the engine, check for smooth idling and any warning lights.
