These are a thin material. The thickness of the material reminds me of sandwich bags; though you could actually put more dirt in a sandwich bag. Yes they are shaped like a planter, though so very small and flimsy that they do not hold shape, and tare, when you try to fill them. I ordered 100 of the largest size. These are far too small and flimsy for my nursery's use. I would not recommend these for private or professional use.
