Taking its cue from the hugely successful British series, Universal Records has been releasing the popular Now That's What I Call Music! compilations (often shortened to Now!) in the U.S. since 1998. Released several times each year, the Now! collections gather the most popular hits of the day onto a single- or double-disc set. Released in May 2014, the deluxe edition of Now That's What I Call Music! Vol. 50 is a two-disc collection featuring 35 tracks from pop giants like Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Miley Cyrus. Top Ten hits like Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" and Pharrell Williams' "Happy" are featured on the first disc alongside other hits like Foxes' "Youth" and the Chainsmokers' "Selfie."
