The RÖSLE group of companies originated from the beginnings of a small innovative craft business. The master tinsmith Karl Theodor Rösle founded his company in 1888, initially manufacturing products and accessories for construction and roof drainage under the name RÖSLE in a small area in the center of Marktoberdorf with his journeymen and assistants. Early on, he recognized the opportunities of industrial production, which was still in its infancy in many industries at the time. He did not want to come to terms with the limitations of purely manual work. His aim was to combine this high-quality but less efficient production method with new, mechanical production methods. As early as 1903, he also added a new product line to the original range: cookware. The early death of the founder in 1907 almost meant the end of the company. Women's power saved the day: his wife Viktoria took over the management of the company and also steered production during the First World War. It was only afterwards that their two children Karl Gustav and Georg Rösle joined forces to form the "RÖSLE brothers.
