[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Due to age, we recently re-shingled our roof. It was the perfect time to put in a much better watertight sealing element for the plumbing pipe vent, as well. We went with Oatey's Aluminum No-Calk Roof Flashing. The base totals 324 square inches of incredibly thin and pliable aluminum that was easy to fit, shape, and even cut for perfect sizing in the corner of our roof. The aluminum base itself is rustproof, as is the entire collar that seals the vent pipe for a completely leak-free fit without having to caulk anything anywhere. I will do anything to prevent the need to use chalking, and this was the perfect piece of flashing to help me avoid that frustration. Applying the shingling over the flashing went easily for my husband and without incident, which is why this product gets five stars, and we would even give more stars than that if I could!

The oatey NC-1/2, 1 IN. ALUMINUM 18 X 18 SOLAR base was exactly what we needed. It was easy to I stall and was the perfect tight fit we were looking for.
