After major repairs in my driveway on my truck (differential gear kit) chose to purchase mechanical cable 4x4 engagement over vacuum system. I didn't like the vague directions. I didn't want to tear up my old 2000 Chevy S10 truck with holes in my dash until i had thorough installation understanding. I contacted Mfg who was less helpful. I decided to send the unit back as I didn't want to tear up my old 2000 Chevy S10 truck with holes in my dash unless I had thorough installation understanding. Jegs was very helpful, no issues with the return. After packaging up the unit I had reservations sending it back with all the work I previously did to regain 4 wheel drive. So I mounted it under my hood. Not convenient but functional. Jegs refunded my FedEx postage ASAP. 1st: The swaged bullet shaped cable end oversized .015 where cable was crimped on the end and a pain to modify under my truck as cable was installed 1st. 2nd: Upon 6th or so "pull" to engage 4x4 pull end fell apart. Spent the day replacing vacuum lines, repaired actuator broken clip 4 wheel system work. Again Jeg's very helpful (not their fault) in my return. Awaiting refund. Maybe a good system for quad or farm vehicle but to "generic" for my vehicle.
