I installed a K&N air filter on my 2004 Cavalier about 6 months ago and went from 27 to 34mpg. I recently installed one on my wife's 2006 Cobalt and it went from 31 to 39mpg. These are highway results and I figured the mileage by dividing miles traveled by gallons of gas used. I traded in the Cavalier for a Dodge Ram quad cab with a 4.7 liter v-8 and as soon as I can afford an intake kit I will post the results here. I have convinced several of my co-workers to try K&N and they are all happy with the results they are getting.

I just picked up the K&N filter for my 09 Cobalt LT. The first drive with it I felt a difference in gas pedal response, wasn't as laggy, and could feel the engine was pushing more air and had a little bit in acceleration. You can also hear more air through the exhaust if you listen when you get on it. I didn't think just a filter would make such an even noticeable difference but I definitely recommend the filters to ANYONE!

Hey all, I have a 2007 Chevy Cobalt LS and just installed a hi-flow drop in filter in the stock air box and must say I am impressed on how the car runs cooler. I can already see the increase in gas mileage and power. I swear my Cobalt just wants to get up and go and it sounds sweet. You car literally hear more air coming into the air box. My next move is to install a k&n typhoon ram intake kit on it. Keep up the good work k&n.
