Holds tight and it's fairly easy to disengage.

First let me say I did NOT purchase this to prevent a child from opening my freezer so I don't know if a child can open it. With that said, I love it. My RV freezer refuses to stay closed even when stationary. After leveling and re-leveling both RV and fridge/freezer I resorted to this item. It did the trick beautifully. I have not found the freezer open since it was installed. I did struggle with the installation, when the adhesive grabs it's ON there. Some type of guide would help get it right the first time but other than that it's an awesome solution.
