Attwenger, called a GrooveslangPunkDuo, are playing on their new album flux Rock n Roll & Swing, Turbopolka & Speedlandler, Synthesizer & Stories, Brass & Kantri, Dschakkabum and from time to time in slow motion. The songs on flux are all about human aggregate states: shaking brains, sucking up to someone, about a self rotating ball, an old ghetto blaster, fug, a show, about everything that is missing, about getting lost, eating yourself up, rehearsal room talk, Gstanzln, the arid devil and whether the internet works or not and the question what you dont need to care about, freaking out and finally about the fact, that we do not have to interpret everything against us. Dialect is not understood as transporter of content, but as territory of flux meanings. Keyword: Verbalisation of sound, rhythmization of thought. If anyone needs a definition for this language, then it would be playful words and language free of domination. Fluxgigs are concerts, where Attwenger play flux live or are live fluxing. Just think of Attwenger as two trapeze artists, trying their tricks without net. Not so bad as long as one catches the other. Quickly explained: Flux means flow in English, and can be physically defined as:amount that flows through a unit area per unit time, it also was an art movement in the 60ies filed as fluxus. There are flux movies, flux people, flux music. And it is the title of our 7th studio album. Physically seen again it is a certain mixture of music and text, that ran over a certain time period through our Attwengerzone. We have produced flux within 20 months in different studios in Linz & Vienna.
