The Beadsmith Basic Elements Spin & String Needle, 4.25 inches (107.95mm), 2 pieces per pack, Quickly and Efficiently load beads onto your thread, Works best with 15/0 – 11/0 seed beads
Key item features
- EASY TO USE: Thread your needle and knot the end. Pour seed beads into the cup, filling about halfway. Turn on the spinner or rotate the center spindle counterclockwise with one hand. With your other hand, place the curved end of the needle horizontally into the cup. The beads will load onto the needle. An excellent time saver!
- LARGE EYE: The needles are created by soldering the ends of 2 needles together to form an eye large enough to allow virtually any item to pass through it. The large eye makes the needle very easy to thread. This reduces eye strain found with other needles. Great for people who have difficulty seeing regular needle eyes.
- FAST AND FUN: This hand-crafted devise is a unique way to string beads efficiently. The needles work great with seed beads of all sizes, as long as they slip over the curve of the needle. You can also string other small glass beads, including delicas in sizes 6/0 to 15/0.
- BEADWORK: Spinning wheels are an absolute must for anyone looking to create fringe, multi-strand necklaces, appliqués, and hanks. They are great for stringing beads for ornamentation such as French beaded flowers, bead weaving, bead crochet, bead knitting and anything else requiring long strands of beads!
- THE BEADSMITH: 40 years in the making! 💎 Trusted to bring you the best quality beads, tools, and supplies. Making jewelry should be a positive experience. Let us join you in the creative journey. Our experts are here to help. Your satisfaction is important to us. Contact us with any quality issues or concerns.

About this item
Product details
Whether you are making a beaded necklace, bracelet, or strands of beaded garland, The Beadsmith has got you covered! Our spinning wheels are a quick and efficient way to string beads in a minimal amount of time. The spinning wheel is a used with a needle with a J-hook at the end. We have two options: The Spin & String and the Power Spinner, both of which are very similar to one another.
Before you begin, make sure you are working on a level surface. Measure you thread to be 10 inches longer than the length of the beads that you need. To use, thread your needle and knot the end, or leave it attached to the spool of thread. Our new Big Eye Spin & String needle makes threading easier than ever! Pour seed beads into the cup, filling about halfway. Turn on the machine or rotate the center spindle counterclockwise with one hand, not too fast or your beads may fly out. With your other hand, place the curved end horizontally into the beads near (but not touching) the outer wall of the right side of the cup. The beads will load onto the needle very rapidly. Once you have a couple of inches of beads on the needle, carefully life up the curved end and then push the beads down onto the thread. Repeat the whole process of spinning and string until you have reached the desired length of beads. An excellent time saver!
TIP: If you have difficulty, try experimenting with different needle positions and spinning directions to find a combination that is most comfortable and effective for you. For this tool to be effective, there is a functional sharp edge. Please use with caution. Not recommended for children under 15 years old.
