Collect the Sample - Collect a urine sample in a clean, dry container. Ensure the sample is fresh and not contaminated. Dip the Test Strip - Hold the test strip by the handle and dip the absorbent end into the urine sample for 10 seconds. Make sure the sample does not go above the maximum line indicated on the strip. Place on a Flat Surface - Remove the strip from the urine sample and place it on a flat, non-absorbent surface. Start your timer. Wait and Read Results - Allow 5 minutes for the test to develop before reading the results. Do not read the results after 10 minutes, as they may become inaccurate. Interpret the Results - Negative Result: Two lines will appear—one in the control area (C) and one in the test area (T). Even a faint line in the test area indicates a negative result. Positive Result: Only one line appears in the control area (C), with no line in the test area (T). Invalid Result: If no line appears in the control area (C), the test is invalid. Discard the test strip and repeat with a new one.
